A Public Service Announcement Followed By A Dare

I’m in the middle of a few projects that need tweaking (name that movie) and cannot sit down for any of my half-coherent babble.  However, I have a bit of advice for you:

If you are so pathetic as to wander the house hunting down dirty laundry so that you can try out your new laundry soap, do not be unwise and grab five dirty aprons and wash them all at once.

It is a tangled web you shall weave.

While I’m in the midst of project-ing, is there a burning question on your mind that you’ve always wanted to ask the Vitafam and never dared?  I dare you to dare.

I don’t guarantee an answer, but I’d love to see your questions.

Ready, aim, FIRE!!!

  1. Not an exciting question, but what new laundry soap was so exciting as to induce you to actually search the house for dirty laundry? I say this knowing perfectly well that if I somehow have no laundry (hahahahaha!) when my new soap nuts show up this week, I will do the exact same thing… ;)

Morning routine? Bedtime routines? Can you tell I love routines?

How you pack for such a crew when traveling? What possesses you ever, ever, ever to do any crafts at all? (I’m just being bad on that one.)

What is your dream family vacation? How do you keep up with clothes organization, the growing in, growing out stuff?

That enough to get you started? I can always get nosier.

I would LOVE to know if you have a schedule and what it looks like. Do you have a menu plan each week?
These are my biggest flops and I’m hoping for some help! Life with four has proven to be busy…I need advice from a mommy who knows how it is! :)

    Aah, what a twisty mess!

I guess my question would be if both you and Andrew were raised as Christians. If you were, are you planning to raise your children similarly to how you were raised? If you weren’t, what resources have you turned to in your parenting and your views of Christian marriage?

I guess those are pretty big questions, ack.

I second number one and number five.

    And…
What do you do when people ask you “Are you having more” or “why so many kids?” or the WORST “don’t you believe in birth control?”

I’m asking because I only have three, but I do want more and I’m not shy about saying so… and people are incredibly negative sometimes, even Christians. Right now we are neither trying or preventing, maybe after two or three more that may change, but its what I think God has for us now at least.

…I was just thinking I needed to email you. My youngest turns 1 next week and she is having a joint birthday party with her “best friend.” (Aptly named because her mom and I are best friends and we leave them no choice.) I wanted to make the cake from scratch…do you do that or do you use the cake mixes?

If you make them from scratch (trust me, I’m not getting creative like you…the last birthday cake I made had lego pirate men on it), then what is your recipe? We mill our flour here, so I’m going to use the whole wheat (or at least try it).

    Thanks!

    Movie: You’ve Got Mail.

Question: What is your method in dealing with whining? I’ve tried several things (i.e. consistent “chastisement”, time-outs, rewards for not whining or being patient, or just plain ignoring them (that last one has never worked very well) and have achieved some success, but with a 3 1/2 yr old, 2 yr old and newborn, I have yet to achieve zero whining in our home - if that’s even possible. Thoughts?

Btw, thanks for your comment on my blog. Always encouraging to get comments from someone that I don’t (yet) know very personally!

Bless you and your beautiful brood.

I have a question that is probably a little silly, but I’ve been wondering. How do you fit all of your car seats in the car? What brand are the seats you use so that they fit? Will you have to get a different vehicle when your adopted little one comes home?

  12. I have a question! I do! I do! Ooh, pick me! :-D Ahem. Just kidding. But seriously, you’ve mentioned a lot of different “natural health”-type things (Syringes for stuffy noses, “going crunchy” with your mattress, and other such stuff). I wonder if you have a general guideline for how you choose health products, or how you pursue health for your family? Is it something you can verbalize? How does that extend to your diet? You said that you use white flour for cakes…does that mean you use whole wheat for everything else? Do you have a mill you recommend for grinding it? Why is everyone always so astonished when you tell them you grind your own wheat? (Or maybe that’s just the people I run into?) Ok, I’ll stop now! Oh wait, one more: How’s the adoption coming along?? :-)

And I don’t have any questions right now. Which is frustrating because I came down here to be alone with my thoughts so’s I can participate in blogs such as yours.

Turns out? I don’t have as many thoughts as you’d think. (name that TV show)
