So I took the kids to a rock concert yesterday…

Bet you never thought you’d read THAT sentence.  We had a great time.  I’ve got bloggy fodder for years.  And no Vitafam adventure would be complete without a technical disaster:  The kids had so much fun they spilled water on my laptop.

I totally heard your audible gasp from here.

My Precious is sitting in a box of rice, drying out.  That twitch behind my left eyelid is much more severe, thanks for asking.

At any rate, it was while I was sitting in my van charging my phone and checking email yesterday that I read a comment from Joanna, informing me that I’d been nominated for a Homeschool Blog Award.  She wanted to know why I hadn’t told anybody.

Perhaps it was because I didn’t know.  Unlike the Oscars, nobody arrived at my door at 4 in the morning with flowers and basket of fruit.  At any rate, I’m nominated for Best Cyber Buddy.  Which, according to the description, is “A blogger that you haven’t met, but you think you would enjoy meeting and hanging out with. She/he is a person that you would love to co-op with or live next door to. ”

Awwww.  You guys!!!

I admit, I laughed out loud when I saw it was any sort of homeschool award, because I still struggle to remember that I am indeed a homeschooler.  Who blogs.  But I don’t think of Vitafam as A Homeschool Blog.  Plus, I’ve been homeschooling all of what, five minutes?

But to think that at least one of you thinks I’d make a cool neighbor?  Well, that’s just pure gold to my heart, peeps.  And just so all of you know, in my head, you’re ALL my next door neighbors.  And you’re welcome to come over for coffee any time.

I’ll be back with pictures and stories galore, just as soon as we revive My Other Child.
