It’s possible I’ve said this before, but Ellen is a talker. And sometimes she doesn’t listen very well. This is a deadly combination. So I take great delight when she uses her crazy two-year-old tactics on someone besides me. I especially like it when she “goes all Ellen” on her brothers.
Tonight in the car, Adam said… well, something. I don’t really know what. It doesn’t matter. For sake of discussion, let’s say he said, “I have a green cast.”
Ellen piped up, “Hm?”
“I have a green cast.”
“Huh?”
“I have a green cast.”
“Huh?”
“I have a green cast.”
“Huh, Adam?”
“I said, I have a green cast.”
“Huh, Adam?” getting louder.
“I HAVE A GREEN CAST, ELLEN!!!”
“Oh.”
And then, before he can breathe a sigh of relief, she moans, “Whyyyyyyyyy?”
I know as mothers we’re supposed to look forward to the day our grandbabies drive our children insane. But I am blessed among women because I get to watch my daughter turn the tables on my sons before any of them are old enough to tie their shoes. Motherhood of lots of littles has its perks…

Oh my goodness my middle child does this to his older brother kind of a lot. It’s hilarious, in a vengeful sort of way.

My son is the same way. Think of all of the funny (exasperating) conversations Ellen and BB could have if we ever got them together!

That is so funny! I would love that to happen in my family! I would get so much joy from that!
Thanks for the laugh!
