Hey, remember this kid?
He makes me laugh.
And guess where I caught him today? Up on top of the counter, getting stuff off the top of the fridge.
Guess how far away I was? FIVE FEET. I was in the kitchen. I looked at him lying on the floor, peering under the cabinets, I turned around to grab something, and then I turned back around and he was on the counter, reaching up to the top of the fridge.
Sheesh.
We asked him the other day what pickles were made of. “Me,” he answered.
(For those of you who are relatively new here, “Pickle” is Adam’s nickname.)
Couldn’t you just eat him up?
One more thing about that blessed trip and then I swear I’ll never mention it again (I’m lying.) I hauled Willa’s Johnny-jump-up all the way to California only to discover that our hotel had no actual door frames. Ridiculous. The poor child was confined to playing with her toys on the floor (ew).
When we got to San Diego, I was so looking forward to letting her jump at R’s house. But I didn’t realize how big and beautiful that house would be. It was SO big, in fact, that their doorways were crazy high. And here’s what Willa had to contend with.
Sigh.
We put a suitcase under her feet and let her spin around a bit before taking her down and putting her back on the floor with her toys.
When we got home, I’d never seen a kid so happy to see a pantry in all my life.
This life of mine? It is good.

Boys and their ability to climb practically anything, ya gotta love it! When Zach was 2 I caught him on top of our computer desk just moments before he was about to attempt to climb up our Ikea shelves (which were attached to the wall above the desk) like a ladder. should have known then, that Spiderman would wind up being one of his favorite superheroes ;).

LOL our ceilings are 10 feet and our door frames are 8 feet, which mean the frames are higher. Ha ha ha ha….how in the world did you get that johnny jump up way up there?!? Repelling gear? Well that is gear I will scratch off my list for the new baby. Ha Ha. Does Adam get a pickle ornament on the tree? Do you know what I am talking about? Those german pickles that are a tradition…first kid to find it Christmas morn gets an additional gift? NOT that I am about competition or anything.
